The Chromatic Antagonisms of Opponent Process Theory Are Not the Same as Those Revealed in Studies of Detection and Discrimination

چکیده
Wavelength discrimination for 1000-Td yellow lights was measured as a function of the wavelength of a 10-Td pre-adaptation field. Blue and red pre-adaptation fields impaired discrimination more than did violet or green fields. Our fields appear to act at a site that differences the longand middle-wave cone signals, but this does not correspond to the 'red-green7 process of Opponent Colours Theory.

Detection and Discrimination of Colour, a Comparison of Physiological and Psychophysical Data
Whereas the physiological basis of colorimetry (colour matches) is well understood in terms of the trireceptor theory of colour vision, colour discrimination and scaling still lack a comparable foundation. We present here experimental data that demonstrate how sensitivity and responsiveness of different types of cone-opponent and non-opponent cells of the macaque monkey correlate with human thr...
متن کاملبررسی وضعیت نابرابری جنسیتی در بازار کار ایران (با استفاده از نماگرهای کار شایسته)
Approximately half of employees over the world work in the gender specific jobs where at least 80 percent of the employees belong to the same gender. In fact, non-agricultural jobs specific to men are seven times more than those of women. This phenomenon shows inflexibility of job market it leads to the reduction in especially for women and decreases the economic efficiency (Anker, 1998). Gende...

متن کاملThe perception of speed based on L-M and S-(L+M) cone opponent processing
We have measured perceived speed and speed discrimination thresholds for stimuli that selectively activate the L-M, S-(L+M) cone opponent and L+M (luminance) post-receptoral pathways. For low speeds and low contrasts speed discrimination thresholds for L-M and S-(L+M) are similar but are higher and have a greater dependency upon contrast than those for luminance motion. These differences betwee...
متن کاملJust chromatic exellence in fuzzy graphs
A fuzzy graph is a symmetric binary fuzzy relation on a fuzzy subset. The concept of fuzzy sets and fuzzy relations was introduced by L.A.Zadeh in 1965cite{zl} and further studiedcite{ka}. It was Rosenfeldcite{ra} who considered fuzzy relations on fuzzy sets and developed the theory of fuzzy graphs in 1975. The concepts of fuzzy trees, blocks, bridges and cut nodes in fuzzy graph has been studi...
